1. For registering complaint on line, new users have to sign up through this Web Page.
2. New user can sign up as existing service or with others.
(i) While signing up as existing service, the user has to select the region and enter a valid service number as in EB white meter card. By this it is easy to locate the consumer and their area concerned.
(ii) While signing up as others, the user can register a complaint without service number, but has to select the circle concerned.
3. The consumer has to sign up once for registration. This requires an e-mail account. With valid e-mail ID & Consumer Number the consumer chooses a unique username for registering through the website.
4. On completion of registration requirements, an e-mail is generated to the
consumer for successful validation of e-mail ID. User name and password is communicated to through this e-mail.
5. For further registration of complaints, the user shall login and key in his authenticated password through web site.
6. For immediate response, it is recommended to address the complaint to the respective Superintending Engineer (SE).
7. In case problem with on line LT bill payment(which is now available for Chennai area alone), the complaint may be addressed to CE/IT.
8. It is recommended that the user shall change his passwords frequently for security purposes using “Change Password" button.
9. A user can register for many Consumer Numbers using "Add Consumer No" button and register complaints for their respective consumer.
10. A complaint number generated for each complaint for further reference and the status details of the complaints are exhibited.
11. The changes in consumer number and e-mail ID and other personal particulars could be carried out using "Update Profile" button.
12. A "Forget password" link is available for generating e-mail to the registered mail-id which shall furnish the current password.
